Lower Lough

Low Water Levels – Cautionary Warning

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Erne System that following a period of dry weather the water levels on Lower Lough Erne are below those normally experienced at this time of year.

Masters of vessels, particularly those with deep drafts, are advised to proceed with caution, keep well clear of all hazards, remain central in the navigation channels and proceed with care when approaching moorings.

Masters and owners are advised that the starboard hand aid to navigation marking the entrance to the Inner Lakes at Killinure Pt has slipped its mooring and is aground on the opposite shore.

Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with due caution when navigating this stretch of the lake.

Offshore Powerboat Race Training Weekend

Buccaneer Powerboat Club are invitng all drivers and officials to Malihide for a weekend of Offshore Race Training from May 21st and 22nd.

This training will be given by experienced RYA officials who have many years of offshore powerboat racing under their belts. The Training will include practical and theory sessions with the emphasis on Safety. Drivers and training officials will receive training on all ascepts of the sport.

Bear Grylls takes RIB through the NW passge
