Irish Sailing Academy
The Irish Sailing Academy mission is to share our passion of sailing with others.

Courses

The Irish Sailing Academy offers a wide range of courses to suit all tastes, from sailing, to powerboating, or a range of shore based courses to help you get to grips with the latest technology.

We’ve split our training courses into 3 sections below.

Sailing Courses

One of the most exciting sports around today, whether it’s racing round the cans, crossing an ocean or just going for a blast on a sunny summer’s day sailing has something to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re 8 or 80 you can always get that ‘life is good’ feeling after a sail. So come join us at the academy and let the world be your oyster.

Power Boating Courses

Powerboating is one of the easiest ways to get on the water today. Maybe you just want to spend a sunny summer’s day out with the family and friends, skiing, fishing or just relaxing. Or perhaps you’re as commercial user who needs qualifications for work.

Here at the Irish Sailing Academy we provide a comprehensive range of the Irish Sailing Association powerboat courses for those certificates which are both nationally and internationally recognised and our own in house powerboat clinics for those of you that want to learn how to get your boat into and out of that tricky space in the marina and see how the professionals make it look so easy.

Motorboat Courses

The Irish inland waterways offer a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Learn how to navigate and skipper your boat to get the most out of one of Ireland’s best kept secret holiday destinations.

Shore Based Courses

With electronic navigational aids becoming more and more popular on boats these days you need to make sure you know their limitations and how to use them properly.

You should also know how to get yourself and your crew back to safety if for some reason they fail. Join in one of our shore based courses and find your way round your new bit of kit
