Introduction to Powerboating Certificate
Introductory course for you to gain experience in driving and crewing the boat.

- Previous Experience:
- No previous experience or knowledge is required or assumed.
- Syllabus:
- Boat preparation, Clothing, Slow speed handling, Manoeuvring at speed, Anchoring, Man Over Board, Regulations, Safety, Ropework, Towing, Weather, Navigation & pilotage.

- ISA Introduction to Powerboating Certificate. (on successful completion)

National Powerboat Certificate
“The driving licence”: A course to develop your skills to skipper a boat by day.
- Duration:
- 2 days
- Previous Experience:
- “Introduction to Powerboating Certificate” or equivalent experience.
- Syllabus:
- Turning boat in confined space, Holding off, Coming alongside, Slow & high speed manoeuvring, Engine checks, Securing to a mooring buoy, Anchoring, Man overboard, Engines & drives, Types of Crafts and towing, Charts & tides, Weather and Safety.
- Certificate:
- ISA National Powerboat Certificate. (on successful completion).

Safety Boat Certificate
Recommended for those involved in sailing clubs and centres. This gives you the essential skills to manage and, rescue a fleet of boats/canoes/boats/windsurfers.

- 2 days
- Previous Experience:
- “National Powerboat Certificate” or equivalent experience.
- Syllabus:
- Race Management (sailing boats), Rescue techniques for: sailing dinghies, windsurfers, canoes & kayaks, kitesurfers, Safety boat specifications, Incident management / medical emergencies, and Search patterns.

- ISA Safety Boat Certificate. (on successful completion).

Dive Boat Coxswains Certificate
Recommended for those involved in diving clubs. This develops your skills to manage a dive boat safely.

- 2 days
- Previous Experience:
- “National Powerboat Certificate” or equivalent qualification.
- Syllabus:
- Boat preparation, Diver recovery and deployment, Choosing a dive site, Deploying shot lines, lazy shots and decompression stops, Basic & GPS navigation, tidal diamonds, Search patterns and basic medical emergencies.

Recreational Powerboat Certificate
For the powerboater planning family daytrips, longer coastal passages and sports activities like water skiing..
- Duration:
- 2 days
- Previous Experience:
- “National Powerboat Certificate” or equivalent qualification. It is recommended that students hold a First Aid Certificate and the VHF licence.
- Syllabus:
- Mediterranean style mooring, Anchoring, Swimming from a boat, Towed activities: wakeboarding, water sking, Rough weather handling, Basic & GPS navigation, Incident Management/medical emergencies.

- ISA Recreational Powerboat Certificate. (on successful completion)

Advanced Powerboat Certificate
Take your powerboating to the next level – day & night planing speed navigation.
- Duration:
- 2 days
- Previous Experience:
- “National Powerboat Certificate” or equivalent qualification and “Coastal Navigation Course”. It is recommended that students hold a First Aid Certificate and the VHF licence.
- Syllabus:
- Heavy weather handling, Search patterns, Basic engine repairs, Day & night passages and GPS navigation.
- Certificate:
- ISA Advanced Powerboat Certificate. (on successful completion).
